At Queen’s College we have a range of venue spaces with the capacity to accommodate a variety of events including but not limited to; conference, seminars, study courses, board meetings, gala dinners, cocktail parties, graduation ceremonies and school camps.
You can meet in one of our newly renovated meetings rooms or dine in our magnificent dining hall. Our historic Junior Common Room, with its beautiful wood panelling and stained-glass windows, is ideal for lectures, or can be transformed into a perfect space for formal dinners, all fully catered for by our in-house chef and catering team.
We understand pricing is an important factor to our clients and have ensured that pricing is competitive and can be tailored to suit individual requirements.

Our in-house catering team will cater your event and have the creativity and flexibility to customise menus should you have specific needs or ideas. Other services include audiovisual equipment, internet access, printing and outsourcing external suppliers to save you time and effort.
Over the winter and summer breaks we can offer student style accommodation to casual guests and large groups. A limited number of self-contained apartments are also available. Located in the College Close, a pleasant garden area beside the main buildings of the College are three fully furnished two bedroom apartments, which are available upon application to visiting academics all year round.

Please note that during semester we have limited venue spaces available. Our semester dates are 12 February — 24 June, and 10 July — 18 December in 2018. If you wish to hire a room during this period, we have two spaces on offer that can seat either 60 or 100. Rates are available on request, with catering and AV additional. Please note that such spaces are not always available given the number of student events that occur in during semester.
The Lade Room is an ideal space for meetings and can be set theatre style for 60, boardroom style for up to 32, or can be partitioned into three soundproof sections each seating 10 in boardroom style.
Junior Common Room
Our historic Junior Common Room has ambience created by its wood panelled walls, leadlight windows and high ceilings. This room can cater 80 for a formal dinner and 150 for plenary sessions.
The Stafford Room is a versatile space and perfect for board meetings, intimate cocktail parties and small formal dinners. With floor to ceiling windows, there is a clear view of the college’s gardens. This room is furnished with a Grand Piano (in-house pianists bookable upon request).
The Eakins Foyer is similar to the Stafford Room and also a suitable area for pre-dinner drinks and conference registrations.
Eakins Dining Hall
The magnificent Eakins Dining Hall was architecturally designed with timber ceiling and soaring windows and is surrounded with views of the college’s well kept gardens. Although there is limited use during the academic year, this space is available during the semester breaks for dinners and large conferences. Note that the minimum spend in this space is based on a minimum of 100 guests.
Please note that our semester dates are 12 February — 24 June, and 10 July — 18 December in 2018, and we do not accept bookings for accommodation during those times, except for Visiting Scholars (see Visiting Academic Apartments below).
Outside of semester we offer accommodation availability in student-style single rooms at $85 per night (inclusive of GST). These rooms include a continental breakfast, bed, desk and wardrobe; bathrooms are shared. WiFi is included. Stays of less than 3 nights include a 5% surcharge.
Over the winter and summer semester breaks we can offer accommodation to large groups in our student rooms, with conveniently located bathrooms and laundry facilities and a common room. Queen’s College can provide accommodation for over 200 guests during these periods, with most rooms overlooking the beautiful gardens. A limited number of double rooms with en-suite and self contained apartments may also be available.
Visiting Academics Apartments
Accommodation is available in the three Scott Terrace apartments which were built in 1998 to provide high-quality two bedroom, self contained accommodation for academic visitors. The Terrace is situated in the College Close, a pleasant garden area beside the main buildings of the College.The apartment consists of lounge and dining areas, and a kitchen downstairs. Upstairs contains a master bedroom with walk in robe, bathroom and separate laundry, and a second bedroom or study. The accommodation is fully furnished. Over the winter and summer semester breaks we can also offer accommodation for casual bookings in our student rooms, with conveniently located bathrooms and laundry facilities and a common room. A limited number of double rooms with en-suite and self contained apartments may also be available. Accommodation is made available on the booking form 3 months before the winter and summer booking periods.
